The Management Team
Alex O’Cinneide
CEO
Alex is the founder of Gore Street Capital. He was previously a Managing Director and Head of Europe for Paladin Capital, a Senior Advisor to Kleinwort Benson Bank in London, and served on the Investment Committee of IndoChina Capital. From 2006 to 2013, he was Head of Investments for Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s $15B Sovereign Wealth Fund. Alex is also a trustee of the London Irish Centre, a UNICEF Advisor, a visiting researcher to the Energy Policy Group in Cambridge University, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and the Vice Chair of the board of the Biomimicry Institute. Alex is a regular speaker on venture capital and private equity, and is recognised as a global leader in the field of renewable investing.
Suminori Arima
CIO / CFO
Sumi led Renewable Energy transactions as a Managing Director of Kleinwort Benson Bank in London. Previously, Sumi was a Managing Director of RHJ International SA in Tokyo (parent company of Kleinwort Benson) responsible for private equity investment management for over $1B of AUM. Sumi has also worked in Debt Capital Markets at JP Morgan and prior to that, at McKinsey & Company.
John-Michael Cheshire
Managing Director
John-Michael is a Managing Director and leads the investment team at Gore Street Capital. He joined the firm in 2019, having previously held various corporate finance and M&A positions at Nomura, Kleinwort Benson and Société Générale. John-Michael's role at Gore Street is focused on identifying potential investment opportunities and leading the transaction process through to the onboarding of assets and projects once acquired. John-Michael also manages other portfolio and fund financing activities across the different markets and jurisdictions in which the manager operates. John-Michael holds a BA / MA from Cambridge University.
Paula Travesso
Managing Director
Paula is a Managing Director and leads the corporate development activities at Gore Street Capital. She joined the firm in 2016 as part of the Investment Team and subsequently led the IPO of pure play energy storage GSF and acquisitions under the Fund. Paula's expertise is in M&A, with her previous job at the Arab Banking Corporation (ABC) in São Paulo - Brazil, focusing mainly on mid-sized company transactions. Before her role at ABC, Paula worked for EY in the Transaction Advisory Service department. Paula has an MBA from London Business School and a BS in Business Management from Ibmec Business School.
Alicja Kowalewska-Montfort
Principal - Technical
Alicja is a Project Manager leading the technical delivery and management of the operational and under construction storage sites. She worked as a Lead Storage Engineer at Origami Energy, where she successfully developed and led to a financial close a pipeline of 19MW energy storage projects. Formerly she was an energy storage engineer at RES UK & Ireland where she led the product development and sourcing of power conversion systems for a combined 80MW of RES’s EFR and EPC energy storage systems. She holds two Masters in Power Systems Engineering and Renewable Energy Technology from Cranfield University.
Alan Smallwood
Principal - Trading and Optimisation
Alan joined Gore Street Capital as a Principal in 2024 to focus on the firm’s trading activities. He brings over 15 years of experience in energy market optimisation across a variety of roles at Centrica, where he applied mathematical and technical expertise to building long-term energy fundamental models covering electricity trading in Great Britain, European carbon, and global gas and coal. Alan moved into the battery energy storage market in 2020 when he joined Anesco as the Director of Optimisation to set up a new business unit offering a specialised battery-focussed route-to-market service for asset owners. He now leads work within the company’s commercial team to further monetise the growing portfolio under management. Alan graduated from the University of York with a Masters in Mathematics, specialising in quantum mechanics and relativity theory, achieving a First with Distinction.

Rutwij Hoshing
Investment Manager
Rutwij is an Investment Manager at Gore Street Capital. He has led several key M&A transactions within California, Texas and the UK and deployed over £500m into the global energy storage sector. He has also secured project financing for more than 400MW of projects along with offtake contracts worth $140m in the sector. Rutwij has also led valuations of a portfolio of over 1GW in size. Rutwij has a Bachelors from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka and holds a Masters in Management from London Business School.
Ryoji Nagasaku
Investment Manager
Prior to joining Gore Street Capital, Ryoji worked at Citigroup as an Investment Banker in the Financial Institutions Group in New York. He previously held the position of Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York in the Assurance and Deals Group. He has a BA from Sophia University and an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Managem.
Rory Botros
Legal Counsel
Rory joined Gore Street Capital as Legal Counsel in the investment team in 2023 following nine years at international law firm Slaughter and May, where he trained and specialised in energy and infrastructure projects. Rory holds a BA from Durham University, an MA from Oxford University, and GDL and LPC qualifications from BPP law school.
Will Coffey
Senior Investment Associate
As a Senior Investment Associate at Gore Street Capital, Will dedicates his time to international pipeline deals, portfolio valuations and quarterly reporting. His background in both public and private sector firms, notably the Central Bank of Ireland and JM Finn IM, alongside his completion of the CAIA Level 1 and FMVA qualifications, has given him a broad understanding of the financial markets, with a specific focus on the renewable energy sector. After joining as an intern in 2019, Will graduated in Economics from Bristol University and returned to the firm as a member of the Investment Team.
Aman Pandey
Senior Investment Analyst
Aman contributes to the screening and execution of new investments and the upkeep of Gore Street Capital’s portfolio valuations across its UK investments. Aman previously worked at Societe Generale CIB in the Energy and Offshore advisory and lending division, with a focus on renewables and the energy transition within the maritime industry. He holds a double Masters from EDHEC Business School in accounting and finance and in management, which he completed following a BA in Petroleum Engineering from UPES.
Ecenur Ege
Senior Investment Analyst
As a Senior Investment Analyst, Ecenur contributes to the screening and execution of investments, and the upkeep of Gore Street Capital’s portfolio valuations across its US and Ireland investments. Her previous experience was in sustainability growth equity across Europe and APAC with a focus on clean energy, sustainable food, and responsible consumption. She holds a BA in Business Management from Durham University and an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.

Thomas Gilles
Commercial Manager
Thomas is a Commercial Manager at Gore Street Capital, having joined the firm in 2021 after previous experience in the fields of renewables and sustainability. In his role, Thomas focuses on the operational performance of grid-scale energy storage systems. He works across Gore Street’s global fleet, working with key stakeholders on the market research, grid integration, monetisation, and optimisation of projects.
Thomas holds a Master’s in Climate Finance from the Imperial College Business school. He also holds a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southampton

Michael Darzi
Commercial Associate
Michael is a Commercial Associate working on the financing, operations, and delivery of large-scale energy storage systems in the UK and Ireland. He has a wide range of internship experiences from both energy and management consulting companies that ultimately solidified his interests and passion for renewable energy. As a result, Michael pursued an MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures at Imperial College London that enriched him with the knowledge and skills to take on future challenges.
Edward Gale
Commercial Analyst
Edward joined Gore Street Capital to focus on the firm’s optimisation and trading activities. He previously worked for nine years in the private infrastructure equity investment team at abrdn, where he worked on transactions across the transport, social, and digital sectors and served as a board member for several special purpose vehicles. More recently, Edward gained a distinction in MSc Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, where he focused on the optimisation of battery assets in the GB market. Edward became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 2016, completing all CFA exams with first time passes within 18 months.
Priya Adinamozhi
Junior Commercial Analyst
Priya joined Gore Street Capital in June 2024 as a Junior Commercial Analyst to support the company’s work on monetisation and performance of energy storage systems. She is also delivering market research and focusing on optimisation strategies in the US. Priya completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of British Columbia in 2021 before taking a rotational engineering role in the utility industry, where she acquired experience in progressing energy projects from development to construction and operations.
Neha Reddy
Junior Commercial Analyst
Neha joined Gore Street Capital in 2024 as an Intern and now works as a Junior Commercial Analyst. Her role involves managing and analysing the performance of grid-scale energy storage systems. Her work focuses on revenue optimisation and policy tracking in the German and Irish markets. Neha holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California and an MSc in Financial Technology from Imperial College London. Prior to joining the firm, Neha worked as a Project Engineer in the construction sector.

Junior Commercial Analyst
Elisha joined Gore Street Capital in 2024 as an Intern and now works as a Junior Commercial Analyst. In this role, he works closely with stakeholders on the monetisation and performance of grid-scale energy storage systems, ensuring optimal financial and operational outcomes.

Daniel Sherlock-Burke
Head of Asset Performance
Daniel is Head of Asset Performance at Gore Street Capital, responsible for technical management and specification of the fleet. Daniel’s team onboards new projects and ensures their successful performance. He has broad experience spanning multiple battery chemistries and projects, including technical and commercial management for one of the first to deliver frequency response in the UK, the first battery dispatched on the Balancing Mechanism and Gore Street’s fleet since 2021. Daniel leverages broad experience to support due diligence processes, specifications of new projects and continuous improvement of the fleet. He is well known in the industry for his leadership on battery safety, including roles as chair for the Energy Storage Health & Safety Governance Group (associated with DESNZ) and ESN’s Safety, Sustainability and Supply Chain working group.
Matt Davey
Senior Asset Manager
Matt joined Gore Street Capital in 2024 as a Senior Asset Manager responsible for assessing the performance of energy storage assets under management. His key responsibilities involve liaising with external operations and maintenance (O&M) and asset managers to ensure high fleet availability to maximise revenue. He is also tasked with maintaining relationships with project stakeholders, manufacturers and equipment suppliers. Matt brings 11 years of experience in the renewable energy industry from his previous role at RES, where he was responsible for the performance, health, and reliability analytics for asset management and O&M teams across a global portfolio of wind and battery assets. Matt holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Loughborough University.
David Harris
Asset Manager
David is an Asset Manager responsible for assessing the performance of Gore Street Energy Storage Fund's assets. His key responsibilities involve liaising with O&M and asset managers to ensure fleet availability, maximise revenue, and maintain relationships with project stakeholders and OEM suppliers. He formerly worked in the energy storage industry for Anesco's O&M department, where he was a performance monitoring analyst and technical associate, overseeing a portfolio of 180MW of energy storage systems. David holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University.
Elizabeth Castro
Junior Asset Manager
Elizabeth joined Gore Street Capital in 2024 to support the asset management of battery energy storage systems across the international portfolio. She is responsible for analysing battery performance and optimising operations, managing contractor interfaces, implementing insurance policies, and improving emergency response planning. Before joining, Elizabeth gained experience in wastewater management, including leading a $4.8m wastewater treatment plant upgrade project, and has managed capex budgets and project teams across multiple industries. She holds a MSc in Engineering Management from Anglia Ruskin University, having received a Women in STEM scholarship from the British council, and a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de Altamira, Mexico.
Fushu Beauthier
Junior Asset Manager
Fushu joined the Asset Management Team as a Junior Asset Manager to help manage the international portfolio of battery energy storage assets. She is mainly responsible for analysing and optimising asset operations to ensure high performance. She came from a previous role in Asset Management at Harmony Energy, overseeing their operational fleet of battery energy storage assets and has experience in data analysis through several internships. Fushu has an MSc in Energy Systems and Data Analytics from the UCL Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources and a degree in Mathematics from Wesleyan University (CT, USA).

Richard Wagstaff
Head of Projects Development
Richard has 15 years of experience in the construction sector, with the last 12 spent in renewable energy. At Gore Street Capital, he leads the team, managing development and construction activities. Previously, working with the developer RES, he built wind farms and energy storage facilities across Europe and contributed to development activities globally. Richard holds a master’s degree in civil and structural engineering from the University of Leeds.
Rob Galway
Project Manager
Rob joined Gore Street Capital in 2023 as a project manager leading the construction of battery storage sites in the UK and Ireland and brings 12 years of experience in the construction of large renewable energy solutions to the firm. He holds a degree in civil engineering from Atlantic Technological University Sligo and is a Chartered Engineer (CEng MIEI) with Engineers Ireland.
Brynmor Hughes
Project Manager
Bryn is a project manager in the construction team overseeing the construction of battery storage sites in the UK and US. Bryn has over 25 years of project management experience, having successfully led multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of complex projects both in the private and public sectors. Over the past eight years he has worked extensively in renewables, working on his first battery energy storage project in 2016 in Cumbria which, at the time, was the largest project in the UK at 49 MW. As well as holding degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Planning and Development, Bryn is a Chartered Project Manager with the Association for Project Management.
Tim Mitchell
Contract Manager
Tim brings over twenty years of global experience in the construction industry to his role as Contract Manager in Gore Street Capital’s legal team. He has worked in the public and private sectors developing infrastructure and energy projects across Europe, Asia and Australia. Prior to joining Gore Street Tim worked for a range of consultancies (BRG, Ankura and Worley Parsons) and international contractors (Mitsubishi, Acciona and Bilfinger Berger). He holds a degree in quantity surveying, a Master’s degree in construction law and is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

Michael Ashton
Head of Finance
Michael is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with 6 years of experience working at Deloitte within Audit and Assurance, serving Financial Services clients with a focus on investment managers and globally recognised large private equity funds. In addition, he is a CFA level III candidate and holds the designation of Financial Modelling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) through the Corporate Finance Institute.
Will Speller
Finance Manager
Will is a Finance Manager at Gore Street Capital. He is responsible for the corporate financial reporting for the firm, in its role as an AIFM, as well as its subsidiaries. Will has over eight years of experience in Audit. He managed audits for a range of clients across varying industries (including financial services), from large international listed groups to single-entity private limited companies reporting under either IFRS or UK GAAP. Will is a chartered accountant, having obtained the ACA qualification with the ICAEW alongside his professional development in audit.

Fund Accountant
Nilly joined Gore Street Capital in 2022 as a Fund Accountant. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant with four years of experience working at Deloitte UK within audit and assurance, where her primary focus was on private equity clients and investment managers.
Scott Fernandes
Fund Accountant
Scott works as a Fund Accountant at Gore Street Capital. He focuses on the US and Germany based projects and their group structures, compiling financial and tax reporting and provides ongoing support in respect to finance and payment processes. Prior to joining Gore Street, Scott worked as a Fund Accountant for a Pan-Africa focused private equity fund with c.$3bn AUM. As part of this role, he was responsible for preparing and maintaining financials for several funds. Scott graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Mathematics and Economics. Scott is a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA).

Arti joined Gore Street Capital in 2023, bringing over 15 years' experience in accounts payable to the finance team. Arti previously worked at insurance firm Canopius, where she implemented a new system to bring outsourced accounts payable services in-house and improve efficiency. Arti holds a degree in business management from Middlesex University.
Setara Khan
Finance Analyst
Setara is a Finance Analyst at Gore Street Capital, where she handles financial responsibilities for GSF (the client) and GSC (corporate). Her role includes managing quarterly reporting requirements, audit processes, budgeting, treasury operations, VAT filings, accounts payable, and payroll. Prior to this, Setara gained experience as a Finance Assistant at a consultancy firm, where she worked on management accounts and accounts payable for UK entities. She holds a BSc in Banking & Finance from Middlesex University and is currently working towards her ACCA qualification.

Caroline Perry
Head of Legal (Portfolio Companies)
Caroline joined Gore Street Capital in 2024 as Head of Legal (Portfolio Companies). She trained and qualified at international law firm, Hogan Lovells and has held in-house roles at RES, Westfield and Ocado. During her career she has advised on a broad range of high value and complicated construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects in the renewable energy sector and beyond. As Head of Legal (Portfolio Companies), she is responsible for leading and overseeing the legal function, which focuses on the construction, delivery, and operations of the global battery portfolio. Caroline achieved a BA (hons) in law from Oxford University and a LPC qualification from the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice.
Afope Ogunremi
Paralegal
Afope is a paralegal in the legal team. She assists with document review and execution, transaction management and ad-hoc tasks with both internal and external lawyers. Prior to joining the firm, Afope worked in both private-practice and in-house, across a range of businesses, such as S&P global and GLP. Afope holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Cambridge.

Jessica Marchant
Head of Compliance & MLRO
Jessica joined Gore Street Capital in 2023 from Hambro Perks, where she served as Head of Compliance. She spent her early career at State Street Bank and BCP Asset Management before working in-house for family offices in Europe and Asia, where she was responsible for establishing compliance functions and key organisational processes. Jess holds a Level Six Diploma in Regulation and Compliance from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
Lorenzo Savi
Operations Manager
Lorenzo is a consultant Risk Adviser at Gore Street Capital. He boasts over 25 years of extensive experience in Asset Management and Investment Banking, having accumulated his expertise on an international scale across prominent financial hubs such as London, Milan, Luxembourg, Singapore, Malta, and Stockholm. Lorenzo has occupied senior roles in Risk Management within Global Markets at renowned institutions including BBVA, BOFA, Rabobank, JP Morgan, and Jefferies Bache. Lorenzo holds a master's degree in economics, further underlining his qualifications in the field.

Benjamin Hanley
Company Secretary
Benjamin is Gore Street Capital’s Company Secretary. He is a Chartered Company Secretary and a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute. For the last twelve years, Benjamin has provided governance advice to the Boards of Directors of listed and private companies. Previously, Benjamin worked as a lawyer. Benjamin is also a solicitor (currently non-practising) and has a BSC in biology, and an LLB and LLM in law. He is a trustee of the charitable trust of the Worshipful Company of Charted Secretaries and Administrators.
Katie Robinson
Company Secretarial Assistant
Katie joined the Company Secretary team in 2023 and is responsible for providing support to Gore Street Capital and its clients on all corporate governance and company secretarial matters. Prior to joining the firm, Katie gained two and a half years of legal experience working in litigation law and holds a BA dual qualifying degree in Scottish and English Law.
Josie Boyce
Operations Manager
Josie joined Gore Street Capital in 2022 to provide maternity cover before taking up a full-time role as office manager. Josie brings over 13 years of business operations experience, having previously been the operations director at Fiona Barratt Interiors. Her focus is on improving the efficiency of business operations by streamlining processes, documents and strengthening operational resilience with a strong emphasis on cyber security. She has a BA in politics and an MA in Creative advertising. She is currently studying for her CISI Investment Operations Certificate.

Ben Paulden
Investor Relations Manager
Ben joined Gore Street Capital in 2022 as an Investor Relations Associate. Prior to joining the firm, Ben was an intern at Atrato Partners, in London. At Atrato Partners, he supported the team in listing one of the firm’s Renewables funds onto the LSE. Ben is a graduate from Trinity Laban (MA Hons).
Anja Pries
ESG Associate
Anja joined Gore Street Capital in 2023 and is responsible for overseeing and implementing ESG policies, procedures and disclosure. Anja previously worked as a sustainability specialist, providing research and analysis on climate change, environmental policy and the green energy transition. She holds a MSc in Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability from Birkbeck, University of London.
Aanya Arora
ESG and Investor Relations Analyst
Aanya joined Gore Street Capital in 2024 as an ESG & Investor Relations Analyst. In this role, she supports the implementation of ESG policies, procedures and disclosure, as well as assisting with the reporting obligations for the listed vehicle.
Prior to this, Aanya had joined as a summer intern, whilst finishing her Masters in Climate Finance at the Imperial College Business School. Aanya also holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, completing internships in renewable energy, carbon accounting and sustainability during her studies

Peter Summerfield
HR Manager
Peter joined Gore Street Capital after qualifying and practicing for several years as an employment lawyer at international law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner. Peter initially started working with the firm in his previous role, where he developed an understanding of the business. Peter now runs the HR department and advises on all HR matters where he utilises his expertise as an employment lawyer. Peter studied law at the University of Birmingham and has a Masters and LPC qualification from the University of Law. Peter has also written articles on employment law which have featured in publications such as Thompson Reuters and the Employment Law Journal.
Samira Husson
HR Associate
Samira is a HR Associate at Gore Street Capital. In this role, she is responsible for managing the employee lifecycle and aiding the delivery of key HR processes. She joined the team as a Document Manager, responsible for developing data and information systems. Samira has previously worked as a Document Controller for a multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy, working on both private and public sector projects locally (UK) and internationally (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Europe). Samira is currently studying for the level 5 CIPD Associate Diploma in People Management and is registered on CIPD.

Anusuya Dalley
Board Director
Anusuya is a board-level risk and compliance executive with over 25 years of experience across three sub-continents in banking, regulation, operational risk and compliance.
She spent 14 years pioneering and then running the operational risk and compliance function within the real estate and infrastructure department at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds.
Prior to that, she was a lead regulator at the Financial Services Authority in the UK (now subsumed by the Bank of England) supervising banks, building societies and credit unions, including in relation to cross-border takeovers, Basel II applications and e-money.
She started her career in the RHB Financial Group in Malaysia, working on e-business regulation and compliance, after several years managing over 200 multi-national client accounts.
She holds an LLB in Law and an MBA from the University of Aberystwyth, UK.
Piers Lindsay-Fynn
Board Director
Piers is an investor who backs entrepreneurs with the capability to disrupt financial markets in new ways. A founder-investor at Gore Street Capital, he is drawn to businesses that blend strong, scalable commercial models with the ability to impact the world positively, especially in the renewable energy space. Having started his career as a broker in London and New York, he has headed up his family’s private investment office since 2004. He holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School.
David Reiner
Board Director
David Reiner is Associate Professor of Technology Policy and Assistant Director of the Energy Policy Research Group at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the policy, economics, and regulation of energy and climate change. He serves on various UK Government and European Commission expert panels such as the Advisory Board of the UKRI £200m Industrial Decarbonisation Challenge (IDC). David has received research grants from UK Research and Innovation and the European Commission on topics ranging from residential heat to carbon dioxide removal.
Frank Wouters
Board Director
Frank is the Director of the EU-GCC Clean Energy Network which fosters clean energy partnerships between the EU and GCC energy stakeholders. He was the Deputy Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). Previously he led the implementation of electricity projects worth more than $3 billion at Abu Dhabi’s government-owned low-emissions project, Masdar.

Vincent Gilles
Senior Advisor
Vincent has been active in the energy space for nearly three decades both on the ‘buy-side’ as a fund manager and on the sell-side as a top-rated analyst and senior banker. From 2006 to 2010, he was a partner of UBS Global Infrastructure Fund and the CIO of the InvestAD-UBS fund in Abu Dhabi. He is currently the CIO of Clim8Invest, a new clean energy investment platform, and a member of the Supervisory Board of Cambridge Energy Partners. He is also involved with the EU Innovation Fund as an external advisor and expert.
Dan Mudd
Senior Advisor
Dan is a private equity and venture capitalist. Previously, he was the CEO of Fortress Investment Group, a global asset management firm with over US$50 billion invested in private equity, credit, and hedge funds. Under his leadership, Fortress expanded its base to Asia and the Middle East, acquired new business, eliminated corporate debt while restoring shareholder dividends. Prior to Fortress, Dan was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Fannie Mae, the USA’s largest mortgage investor.
Jay Troger
Senior Advisor
Jay Troger is an experienced venture capital and private equity portfolio company CEO. Most recently, Jay served as CEO of Mopec Group, where he led a turnaround resulting in a tripling of revenues and a twenty-fold increase in EBITDA. Jay has led multiple renewable energy companies, and is passionate about their importance to society. Earlier in his career, Jay was a partner at the strategy consulting firm Bain & Company. Jay holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and a law degree from Boston University School of Law.
Anna Wang

Anna leads the firm’s impact agenda. Her career spans the public and private sector, focused on health, sustainability and strategic philanthropy. She is currently an advisor to HK-based RS Group, a leading impact investor. Previously as a senior advisor to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, she supported the foundation’s advocacy and fundraising activities. Anna is also on the board of a number of NGOs including Project Soar, Election Reform Network and International Bridges to Justice.
